The Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research (SP-TIE division) is looking to hire an experienced Research Coordinator who will be responsible for coordination of various ongoing studies of suicidal behavior and prevention.


1. Provide data summaries on trainings and evaluation

2. Assist with analysis and writing of manuscripts and presentations

3. Schedule and run study participants, including telephone screens, in-personal and telephone qualitative interviews,  co-facilitate focus groups, and recruitment activities in both inpatient and community.

4. Establish and maintain tracking systems for trainings provided, project requirement deadlines, etc.

5. Conduct literature searches on suicide prevention-related topics

6. Conducting clinical research assessments

6. Data collection, entry and management, including creation and maintenance of multiple project databases

7. Prepare PowerPoint slides, graphics, charts and tabular data presentations

8. Assist with the provision of trainings and conference presentations

This position requires coordinating with research team members both within the Division and as well as with researchers at other sites.


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology or related field preferred
Candidates with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year experience in project coordinator or equivalent role will be considered on case-by-case basis

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years prior research experience

2.Previous experience working with depressed and/or suicidal individuals and familiarity with DSM-V diagnostic criteria would be beneficial.

3.The ideal candidate is well-organized, able to multi-task, work independently as well as a part of a team. Additionally he or she is able to efficiently organize and complete responsibilities in a timely manner.

4.Regular working hours will be typical, but some flexibility (including occasional early evening hours) may be necessary to accommodate the schedules of participants.
