The Principal Investigator requires assistance in conducting his research work on the epidemiology of neuropsychiatric disorders including but not limited to autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. The work is funded through several grants including NIH and other sources.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication.

Assisting the principal investigator with proposal development and progress reports.

Preparation of data summaries, communication with co-investigators and consultants at diverse study sites.

Literature reviews, management of research-related documents, IRB renewals, and other activities as
needed.

Helping with grants, scheduling, publication formatting, electronic submissions, admin documents, review spending for certification, organizing computerized files, other web-based and computer tasks, interfacing with psych IT for help with Internet, computer software issues, e-mails, IRB submissions, preparing Power Point presentations.

Troubleshooting various logistical issues, and other clerical tasks.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Requires a bachelor's degree relevant to a medical or natural science (i.e. psychology, biology, chemistry,
neuroscience)

Experience: At least 1.5 years of work experience in a research or academic setting

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, Mac OSX, iOS, and Windows operating systems, Adobe Acrobat, EndNote
or Reference Manager, and Web skills.

Ability to coordinate research activities under the principal investigator's supervision

Strong problem-solving ability

Ability to address and review research-related documents

Detail-oriented
