To support a large epidemiological study, the research assistant will be responsible for supporting tasks essential for ongoing studies. The candidate will learn the operations of a research study from developing culturally appropriate data collection measures, participant recruitment and retention, and data collection to address study aims and hypothesis.

After training: The incumbent will conduct and supervise in-home interviews and assessments of parents and youths to include obtaining biospecimens and anthropometric measurements. Complete other data collection forms according to study protocols. Carry out participant location through telephone and home visits  utilizing accurint, REDCap, and study tracking databases. Travel for interviews will be frequent. Incumbent will also perform and supervise various office tasks, such as participant tracking, data entry, support computerization of interviews, home visit preparation, record keeping and other office-related activities.

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, related field required.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Some related experience and training in child's mental health assessments, structured interviewing, and field recruitment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Availability for weekend travel is preferred, evening and weekend work required. Drivers preferred. Fluency in Spanish preferred.
