We are seeking a well-qualified candidate to fill a MRI Research Assistant (RA) position in the Neurobiology and Therapeutics of Aging Division at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The MRI RA will perform MRI data acquisition for multiple ongoing studies, routine quality control, processing and analyses including but not limited to structural MRI, functional MRI, Diffusion Tension Imaging (DTI), and Neuromelanin-sensitive MRI (NM-MRI) using in-house or publicly available tools, which support our ongoing MRI research projects with funding from the National Institutes of Health. The MRI RA will work side-by-side with our experienced MRI data processing and analyses expert under the supervision of study principal investigators.

Position Description/Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI data acquisition for multiple ongoing studies.
- Complete routine quality control for MRI scan data.
- Complete processing and analyses including, but not limited to: structural MRI, functional MRI, Diffusion Tension Imaging (DTI), and Neuromelanin-sensitive MRI (NM-MRI) using in-house or publicly available tools, which support our ongoing MRI research projects with funding from the National Institutes of Health.
- Work with our team's experienced MRI Data Processing and Analyses Expert under the supervision of the study Principal Investigators.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate should hold a degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or related fields and have experience in human brain imaging and be familiar with one of the popular MRI data processing and analyses tools such as SPM, FSL, Freesurfer etc. The candidate is also expected to have some experience in programming such as Matlab, Python, Linux Shell script. Individuals who are responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team-oriented environment, are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Prior MRI-related research experience.
