The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a research assistant to conduct NIH-funded research on dopamine neuron synaptic signaling, relevant to drug dependence and schizophrenia.

Principal duties and responsibilities will include:
Extract brain tissue for molecular and cellular analysis
Perform immunocytochemistry, in situ hybridization, westerns
Conduct mouse behavioral experiments
Supervise breeding of transgenic mice
Facilitate lab compliance with institutional policies, procedures in the areas of safety, environmental and infection

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry or Neuroscience, with two years lab experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Neuroscience experience preferred.
