We are seeking a data analyst with an interest in neuroscience and Master's degree in biomedical engineering or closely related field to join our interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinical psychologists. Our lab is housed in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division within the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Using brain imaging (MRI), we specialize in studying the function and organization of neural circuits across a range of psychiatric disorders affecting children and adolescents. We are seeking to hire a full time Data Analyst interested in signal processing to investigate the development of brain structure and function using computational image analysis, modeling, neuroinformatics, and pathology.

Carry out pre-processing of MRI images and analyze imaging data (including fMRI, DTI, ASL) using specialized software
Develop, maintain, and document image processing pipelines
Manage multiple datasets from ongoing and completed projects
Implement novel signal processing, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods
Collaborate with researchers on data collection and data analytic methods
Train and in some cases supervise junior lab members


Minimum Qualifications:

Masters in Science, preferably electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science or closely related field
Prior experience working with MATLAB
Prior experience working on MRI research
Strong coding skills


Preferred Qualifications:

Interest in psychiatry neuroimaging research
Experience in coding image processing algorithms
Experience with Python and Bash
Familiarity with MRI data analysis packages
Strong project management skills
Strong communications skills
